About

Dr Jyoti is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Food Science and Technology at Sharda University, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. She holds a PhD in Basic and Applied Sciences with a specialisation in Food Packaging from the National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management, Haryana, and a Masters degree in Microbiology.

Her academic and research pursuits are driven by a strong commitment to sustainability and innovation in food systems. Her work primarily focuses on the development of advanced food packaging solutions using biopolymers, natural plant-based extracts, and emerging technologies. She is particularly interested in designing active and eco-friendly packaging materials that enhance food safety, extend shelf life, and reduce environmental impact.

Dr Jyoti integrates interdisciplinary approaches from microbiology, biotechnology, and material science to address contemporary challenges in food packaging and safety, contributing toward sustainable and future-ready food systems.
