About

Dr. Bipul Biplav Mukherjee is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at Sharda School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Sharda University, Greater Noida. He began his teaching career as Visiting Faculty at Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College and Shri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce, University of Delhi, before moving to a full-time academic position at Galgotias University and subsequently joining Sharda University. Across these roles he has taught courses spanning Economics and Political Science, including Growth and Development, Indian Economy, Energy Economics, Geopolitics of South Asia, International Relations, Political Economy, Ethics, and the Indian Political System, at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He also holds domain expertise in Russian and Eurasian Studies, Digital Fintech Governance, and AI Governance. He holds a Ph.D. from the School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, where his doctoral thesis examined Russia's economic transition from neoliberalism to state capitalism (1992–2018), with the banking sector as its primary case study. He also holds an M.A. in Politics (International Relations) and an M.Phil. from the Centre for Russian & Central Asian Studies, JNU, an MBA in Financial Management from the University of Pune, and a BBA from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra. He is Triple UGC-NET/JRF qualified, across Management, Political Science, and Defence & Strategic Studies.
