Dr. Aaqib Anwaar Butt is an accomplished academic and media researcher, currently working as Assistant Professor Grade III at the Sharda School of Media, Film and Entertainment, Sharda University. He holds a doctorate from the Centre for Culture, Media, and Governance, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, and brings over a decade of teaching and industry experience across reputed institutions such as Jamia Millia Islamia, GGSIPU, Sharda University, and KR Mangalam University, along with professional engagements at The Indian Express, Kashmir Times, and Early Times. A Gold Medalist in Mass Communication from GGSIPU, he has received prestigious fellowships, including the Rajat Jayanti Vigyan Sancharak Fellowship (DST) and ICSSR Doctoral Fellowship.

Dr. Butt has successfully undertaken funded research projects on the impact of social networking sites on youth (ICSSR) and the popularization of science among youth in Jammu & Kashmir (DST). He has published widely in Scopus, Web of Science, and UGC CARE-listed journals, contributed to MOOCs for INFLIBNET and e-PG Pathshala, and presented at several international forums.
