Prof. (Dr) Pramod Kumar, an eminent scholar of Modern Indian English Poetry with deep insight of subtle nuances, is a Professor in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, and Dean Students Welfare of Sharda University, Greater Noida. Dr. Pramod has done his M.Phil in Linguistic and Phonetics from CIEFL Hyderabad and PhD in Indian English poetry. With 29 years of rich teaching experience he has invariably contributed in academic sphere as a true academician and able administrator.
He, as DSW actively encourages students to participate in extracurricular and co-curricular activities by fostering a supportive environment that values holistic growth beyond academics. Additionally, he is committed to provide guidance, advice, and resources necessary for students to organize and join clubs, societies, and student bodies, ensuring that students have multiple avenues to express their talents and interests. He, moreover coordinates with various university departments and staff to ensure smooth execution of events and provides logistical support such as transportation, accommodation, and financial aid where required. With his point of aims he focuses to identify talented students in areas such as music, dance, literature, arts, sports, and social responsibility, and creates opportunities for them to showcase and further develop their abilities through university-level and inter-university competitions. He also provides platforms for students to participate in national and international events, enhancing their exposure and confidence. The DSW office acts as a bridge between students and university administration, addressing grievances and ensuring that students' voices are heard in matters related to extracurricular engagement
His thought process as DSW is centered on nurturing a vibrant, inclusive and engaging campus life which can be achieved by providing diverse opportunities, supporting well-being, encouraging leadership and maintaining open channels of communication—all with the aim of empowering students to excel both within and beyond the university.
