Student Council along with office of Student Welfare, Sharda University in 
collaboration with NCC wing organized Taru Sankalp Plantation Drive.
Objectives of the event:
1. To create awareness about the importance of greenery
2. To spread the message about the benefits of plantation
3. To motivate people to value the plants

The program was for the students of the DAV Junior High School, Sikandrabad.
The program was inaugurated by DAV Junior High Schools Principal, Dr. 
Yashodhra Raj, NCC Wing Faculty Coordinator and Dr. Pallav Prakash, Student 
Coordinator of Environment Club. Mrs. Yashodhara and Dr. Pallav introduced 
the school to the team and gave a brief introduction about the plantation drive.
The event started with the plantation of 500 saplings by 200 students in the bare 
grounds with a lot of enthusiasm and motivation. 20 students also gave a 
presentation in view to create awareness about the importance of plants and 
oral hygiene via models and props.
The students were given tools like Fork, Trowel, Rake and Grubber as to help 
them in planting the saplings successfully.
Students actively participated in the drive and enjoyed the presentation 
sessions. The program concluded with a joyful interaction with the students
