Event Description

Republic day is celebrated every year on 26th January to commemorate the date and moment, when the constitution of INDIA came into effect. With the same cause it is celebrated as the national festival in our institute 'SHARDA UNIVERSITY'. The 66th republic day celebration commenced with the warm welcome of the Chief Guest. The flag hosting ceremony was followed by the national anthem in the premises by the patriotic and enthusiastic SHARDA family members and audience. The energetic and enthusiastic students paid their tribute to the martyrs by a grand parade and salute. The entire university campus turned reverberated with the rhythmic vocal performances presented by the students. Through the art of Music and Dance students of the respective clubs highlighted the importance of freedom and sacrifices that were and still are rendered by our countrymen.
Celebrations were marked end by the sweets distribution and high tea for students, staff and faculty.

Register yourself before 22nd January 2018 (Monday), 10:00 am.
Rules:
The minimum number of members in a contingent shall be 10 and the maximum number of members shall be
20.
Each contingent can choose a state or country to represent.
Every member of the contingent shall be dressed in their ethical costume of the chosen region.
Each contingent will be given 1 min to showcase their culture in the designated area.
The contingent present at the dress rehearsal (costume not necessary) will only be allowed to take part in the
final parade.
Every contingent shall follow the route laid down for the parade and other instructions given by the parade
management team
The best contingent will be judged on the following criteria:
Discipline
Ethnicity/ Costume
Vibrancy of Colours
Cultural Showcase
The decision of the judges would be final and binding
