Event Description

Theme description The past and the present condition of India through music and dance.

The Diversity club undertook the responsibility to organise the Republic day parade. The parade witnessed contingents representing Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Jammu and Kashmir, Nepal, Nigeria, Bihar, North east etc. The Yoga club, Model united nations society; sports club also took part in the parade. The contingents also put up a cultural performance for three minutes representing the rich cultural diversity of their representing state or country. The best contingent was judged on the criteria of Discipline, Ethnicity/ Costume, Vibrancy of Colors and Cultural Showcase of their area.The contingent from West Bengal won the Best Contingent Award. Prizes worth INR 18,000/- with many other gift hampers were won by the participants of the various contingents.
Since it is a combination of dance drama and music, student from both club got new experience about teamwork

Terms & Conditions

1.    The minimum number of members in a contingent shall be 10 and the maximum number of members shall be 20.
2.    Each contingent can choose a state or country to represent.
3.    Every member of the contingent shall be dressed in their ethical costume of the chosen region.
4.    Each contingent will be given 1 min to showcase their culture in the designated area.
5.    The contingent present at the dress rehearsal (costume not necessary) will only be allowed to take part in the final parade.
6.    Every contingent shall follow the route laid down for the parade and other instructions given by the parade management team
The best contingent will be judged on the following criteria:
•    Discipline
•    Ethnicity/ Costume
•    Vibrancy of Colours
•    Cultural Showcase
The decision of the judges would be final and binding.
