Event Description

Janmashtami or Gokulashtami 
is an annual Hindu festival that celebrates the birth 
of Krishna, the eighth avatar of Lord Vishnu. The 
birthday of Lord Krishna is celebrated with great 
devotion and enthusiasm in India in the month of July or 
August. This year Janmashtami fell on 15th August. The 
students of Sharda University celebrated the birth of 
Lord Krishna with full enthusiasm. All the preparations 
were made by diversity club. It was celebrated at the 
University temple. A hawan was performed at the 
temple. Dahi Handi utsav was also organized in the 
evening. In the night all the hosteller Students celebrated the 
birth of Lord Krishna.
