Event Description

January 26 was designated as India's Republic Day, marked by celebrations and patriotic enthusiasm across the country, Culture Society along with Student Council, Department of Students Welfare, Sharda University organized a Cultural Program for the auspicious day o, 26th January 2022. 

The celebrations began with Flag Hoisting by Honble Pro Chancellor, Shri YK Gupta followed by National Anthem, sung by students of Sharda Symphony, Music Club. March Past by respective contingents of Sharda University Female Wing of NCC and Guards of Sharda University.
The mass was addressed by Honble Vice Chancellor, Prof. Sibaram Khara and Honble Pro Chancellor, Shri YK Gupta – reminding everyone the importance of the day and nationalism. 
Cultural Program began with performances from various clubs falling beneath the Cultural Society of Sharda University and ended with eye catching performances by children Staff & Facultys Children.
Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is an initiative of the Government of India to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of progressive India and the glorious history of its people, culture and achievements. Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav is an embodiment of all that is progressive about Indias socio-cultural, political and economic identity. Sharda University is very delighted to be part of the official journey of “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” and organized a number of online activities in line with the government of India to celebrate 73rd Republic Day Cultural Society Fine Art Club, Literary Club and Diversity Club organize the various online competition during this week as
Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav Quiz by Diversity Club Art Competition by Fine Arts Club- craft model/project by using waste material and emphasis concept of “Waste to Best” and “Waste to Wealth”. Poem Recitation by Literary Club

Online quiz on Cultural Diversity of India 
•    The quiz will be held on 25th January 2022.
•    It will be conducted in online mode.
•    The link for the quiz will remain open for 1 hour only.
•    The theme of the quiz is “Cultural diversity of India”.
•    The quiz would comprise of 30 questions which would be divided into 5 sections:  languages, food, artforms, festivals, traditional clothing, with 6 questions per section of 1 mark each.
•    All participants are requested to avoid the use of unfair means.
•    There will be no negative marking.
•    Winners would be identified on the basis of highest number of correct answers in the shortest time.
•    All participants will be given participation certificates and winners-1st and 2nd will be awarded.
•    Further details would be provided via email.

Art Competition

RULES:
The competition will be conducted on 24 January 2022.
The competition will be conducted in online mode. Thus, it is mandatory for all participants to switch on their
camera during competition.
The participants will get max. 1 hour.
The participants have to make craft model/project by using waste material and emphasis concept of “Waste to
Best” and “Waste to Wealth”.
The theme of the competition is “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav”.
Artwork must be an original piece, completed solely by the participant.
The participants have to click their photographs along with their work.
The participants should write their names properly on the clicked photographs.
All participants will be given participation certificates and winners-1st, 2nd, and 3rd will be awarded.
The winners work will be sent to jawans on the boarder.
The work of each participant will be shown on RDC website www.indianrdc.mod.gov.in with their names.
The winners will be announced on 26 January2022 i.e., Republic Day in online mode.

Poem Recitation
RULES:
•    The competition will be conducted on 25th January 2022.
•    The competition will be conducted in online mode. Thus, it is mandatory for all participants to switch on their camera during competition.
•    Each participant will get 3 minutes only.
•    The participants can choose poems of their own choice but it should on patriotic theme, either in Hindi or in English.
•     The participants are allowed to recite their own written poem as well as other poets work.
•    All participants will be given participation certificates.
•    Winners securing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd position will be awarded with medals.
