Before joining Sharda university in August 2018, Priya Rampal was a Post Doctoral Fellow at the M.S. Swaminathan Research Foundation, Chennai where she worked on a UKAid funded project called Leveraging Agriculture for Nutrition in South Asia (LANSA). She has a PhD from the RBI funded institute, the Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research, Mumbai. Her thesis focuses on the nutritional status of children, specifically, the importance of early childhood nutrition on later outcomes such as health, education and work participation. Priya has also worked on agriculture and livestock insurance at a research centre in Institute for Financial Management and Research, Chennai, involving qualitative and quantitative methods of analysis along with extensive field work.
