Dr. Ram Saran Chaurasiya has completed his PhD in Engineering Sciences (Biotechnology) from CSIR-Central Food Technological Research Institute, Mysuru, Karnataka, India in the year 2018. He has completed his M.Tech (Industrial Biotechnology) from NIT Karnataka and B.Tech (Biotechnology) from UPTU, Lucknow, India.
His major area of research is Biochemical Engineering in general and Downstream processing (DSP) & Waste management in particular. His expertise includes development and scale-up of the DSP processes for separation and purification of biomolecules having commercial applications, and its product development. Wealth from Agro-Food processing waste by recovery of bioactive molecules and value addition to spent waste is one of the prominent areas of current and future research around the world. His vision for the future research is to work in the similar area for the benefit/betterment of Livelihood especially that of our rural brethren. He has published several papers in various International journals beside 1 book chapter. He has presented his research work in various International/National conferences. Apart from that, he has participated in several international conferences, workshops and technical seminars. He has received the prestigious INSA visiting scientist fellowship in 2019, Young Scientist Award in 2019 by Dept. of Science and Technology, Madhya Pradesh and Best Poster Award in 2013 in 7th International Food Convention by AFST(i), India. Dr. Ram is actively involved in various Academic and Administrative responsibilities of Sharda University at various levels.
