About

She completed her Doctorate at the CSIR Institute of Microbial Technology in Chandigarh after receiving her CSIR-NET qualification in 2010. She received her doctoral degree from Jawaharlal University, Delhi (2016). She then started working as a guest professor at Amity University (Greater Noida) for one year (2017). Then, she joined the Czech Academy of Sciences as a postdoctoral scholar till 2021. Her area of expertise is in culturing and characterization of anoxygenic phototrophic bacteria (AnPB); purification and identification of carotenoids; and physiological studies of AnPB.

  • 3.8 years of experience of post-doctoral in Czech Republic (2017-2021). 
  • Teaching experience of one year as a guest professor at Amity University Greater Noida (2016-2017)

  • Identification and purification of carotenoids from anoxygenic phototrophic bacteria
  • Characterization of novel bacterial species and genus by studying their chemotaxonomic, phenotypic, ecological and genotypic attributes. 
  • Waste water treatment and bioremediation using Anoxygenic Phototrophic bacteria.
