Dr. Sushmita Banerjee

About

I have completed my B.Sc. and M.Sc. (Environmental Science) from University of Allahabad. Then, I had join doctoral program from the same university under supervision of Prof. M.C. Chattopadhyaya. My D.Phil research work was based on synthesis of nanoparticles and its application in water purification studies. After  completing my D.Phil. in 2016, I joined Prof. Y.C. Sharmas research group as a institute post doctoral fellow at IIT(BHU), Varanasi. My Postdoctoral research was focused on synthesis and application of bimetallic nanoparticles as a potential catalyst for wastewater treatment and biodiesel production. On 1^st of August 2018 I had joined Sharda University. Presently Im guiding two M.Tech students and one PhD student on topic related to water and wastewater treatment.

• Prof. Gopalarao Centenary Young Scientist Award for best paper presentation in 48^th Annual Convention of Chemists, 2011 organized by Indian Chemical Society.
• Prof. A. K. Dey Memorial Award for best paper presentation in 50^th Annual Convention of Chemists, 2013 organized by Indian Chemical Society.
• NASI-Swarna Jayanti Award, for best poster presentation, in 84^th Annual session of the academy in the field of physical sciences 2014.
• NASI-Swarna Jayanti Award, for best poster presentation in 85^th Annual session of the academy in the field of physical sciences, 2015.
• CSIR-JRF 29^th rank (Earth Sciences) in 2011.
• UGC-NET-LS (Environmental Sciences) in 2009.
• Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) NET in 2012.
