Dr. Manpreet Kaur holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, and is a UGC-JRF qualified researcher specializing in industrial economics, manufacturing productivity and structural transformation with focus on Punjab's manufacturing sector. She has published several peer-reviewed research papers in SCOPUS and ABDC-indexed journals, including International Journal of Productivity and Performance Management (ABDC-B listed), African Journal of Science, Technology, Innovation and Development, The Indian Economic Journal, and Research Journal of Textile and Apparel. Her research examines learning mechanisms, productivity growth, and technological advancement in manufacturing firms, particularly in developing economies. Her key research contributions include studies on structural changes in Punjab's manufacturing sector, learning mechanisms in MSME performance, and capability building in Ludhiana's Machine Tools Manufacturing Cluster. She conducted timely research on COVID-19's impact on Ludhiana's woolen knitwear industry, providing strategic recovery recommendations. She actively participates in academic conferences and workshops, presenting research findings and engaging with researchers and practitioners. Her research excellence has been recognized with two best paper awards at academic conferences. Dr. Kaur also serves as a reviewer for two international journals, contributing to the peer-review process and maintaining quality standards in academic publishing. Dr. Kaur continues contributing to industrial economics through ongoing research on manufacturing productivity, technological upgrading, and structural transformation. Her interdisciplinary approach positions her to explore the intersection of economic policy and legal frameworks, particularly in areas such as industrial regulation, competition law, and business legislation. Her commitment to quality research, combined with her teaching experience and active participation in academic forums, positions her as a valuable contributor to the academic community and the evolving landscape of economic law and policy discourse.
