Event Description
Earth provides enough to save everyone's need but not everyone's greed once told by Mahatma Gandhi. This is the reason why India has so many festivals related to trees. One of them is the Environment Day. It was started as a crusade with the lofty purpose of saving the mother Earth. In its Original Aim, Every Citizen of India is expected to plant at least one sapling on this day. Also, awareness campaigns about benefits and protection of trees and the harm caused by cutting down of trees are held, how to create pollution free environment, how to recycle waste. It is the festival of life. The Environment Day festival of trees is a beautiful initiative to save the Environment, to which we owe a lot.
In Order to raise the global awareness about the importance of the healthy and green Environment in the human lives, to solve the environmental issues by implementing some positive environmental steps Cultural Society of Sharda University has taken a prominent initiative along with Environmental Club, to spread awareness so that we can curb the pollution levels.
