Born on 15 October 1955, Dr Badrul Hasan took B. Sc. (Agri) and M. Sc. (Agronomy) from Allahabad Agricultural Institute, Allahabad (1972-77) and Ph. D. Agronomy from GBPUA&T, Pantnagar in 1986. He joined ICAR in 1982 as Scientist S-1 through ARS of ICAR, then the SKUAST (J&K) in 1989 as Associate Professor, and finally as Professor in 1998 in the same University. He worked in various capacities as Head, Deans, Director Education, Controller Examinations, and Chief Editor (SKUAST Jr Research) up to October 2017. He has significantly contributed to the feed and fodder resources development in sub-temperate, temperate and sub-tropical regions and engaged in research on cropping systems, nutrient management and C: W relationship. He has 85 research publications and popular articles to his credit and has guided 12 M. Sc. and 6 Ph. D. students.
