Dr. Swati Hazra is currently working as Assistant Professor at School of Agriculture Sciences, Sharda University, Greater Noida. She received her PhD degree from the Agricultural and Food Engineering Department, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur in 2021. She successfully completed her MTech in Agricultural Systems and Management from the same Institute in 2014. Dr. Hazra obtained her BSc (Hons) and MSc in Botany from the University of Calcutta.
During her doctoral research, Dr. Hazra assessed the effect of elevated carbon dioxide on wheat which was a part of the project “Development of Climatic Adaptive Agro-Technologies for Sustainable Wheat and Corn Production in Eastern India” under "Sustainable Food Security through: Technological Interventions for Production, Processing and Logistics" funded by Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. Her research interest includes Sustainable Agriculture, Plant Nutrition, Climate Change Adaptation, and Plant Stress Physiology. She has participated MHRD TEQIP-II Sponsored Short-Term Course on "Data Analytics with SAS" organized by the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering, IIT Kharagpur during March 22 –24, 2017. She also has attended Postgraduate Courses on “Building Resilience to Climate Change" -Course I: Science, Impacts and Vulnerability and Course II: Approaches to Adaptation conducted by the University Network for Climate and Ecosystems Change Adaptation Research (UN-CECAR) during July 14 –August 5, 2015
