About

Dr. Abhimanyu Kumar Jha is a Molecular Biologist and has extensive Research experience in Molecular Biology, Cancer Biology and Animal Biotechnology. Previously he worked as Dean, Faculty of Life Sciences and Head in Department of Biotechnology, Institute of Applied Medicines and Research, Ghaziabad (U.P). He also worked as Head in Department of Biotechnology, IMS Engineering College, Ghaziabad (U.P), India. He did Ph.D. from Department of Biotechnology, Panjab University, Chandigarh, India.

He has published 40 papers in International Journals and 8 papers in National Journal of Repute. He has also published 16 book chapters in books published by Elsevier, Springer and Apple Academic Press etc. He has delivered many keynote lectures, invited talks and chaired the scientific session in several international as well as national conferences.

He is presently working on the epidemiology and epigenetics of Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma (OSCC) and Cervical Cancer. His research group is also working on Alzheimers disease and Rheumatoid Arthritis as well as the correlation of contaminants present in groundwater with epigenetic changes in cancer. He also worked on the Natural Compounds-Mediated Reversal of promoter methylation of tumor suppressor genes leading to their reactivation in Cervical Cancer and Acute Lymphoid Leukemia Cell Lines.

  • Received the Innovative Animal Scientist Award from Prof. Karunakar Singh, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Harcourt Butler Technical University, Kanpur for his eminent and distinguished work in cancer biology at 1st International Conference on Environment and Society (ICES 2019) held Kanpur on December 22- 23, 2019.
  • Got the Young Biotechnologist Award at International Conference on Agriculture, Allied and Applied Sciences held at JNU Convention Centre, Delhi from 28-29th April 2018.
  • Got the Young Scientist travel award of US $1200 for presenting his research at ICCB 2008 held at Seoul, South Korea.
