Dr. Abhimanyu Kumar Jha

About

Dr. Abhimanyu Kumar Jha is a Molecular Biologist and has extensive Research experience in Molecular Biology, Cancer Biology and Animal Biotechnology. Previously he worked as Dean, Faculty of Life Sciences and Head in Department of Biotechnology, Institute of Applied Medicines and Research, Ghaziabad (U.P). He also worked as Head in Department of Biotechnology, IMS Engineering College, Ghaziabad (U.P), India. He did Ph.D. from Department of Biotechnology, Panjab University, Chandigarh, India.

He has published 110 papers in International Journals and 15 papers in National Journal of Repute. He has also published 41 book chapters in books published by Elsevier, Springer and Apple Academic Press etc. He has delivered many keynote lectures, invited talks and chaired the scientific session in several international as well as national conferences.

He has also authored more than 10 books and edited 3 books.

He is presently working on the epidemiology and epigenetics of Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma (OSCC) and Cervical Cancer. His research group is also working on Alzheimers disease and Rheumatoid Arthritis as well as the correlation of contaminants present in groundwater with epigenetic changes in cancer. He also worked on the Natural Compounds-Mediated Reversal of promoter methylation of tumor suppressor genes leading to their reactivation in Cervical Cancer and Acute Lymphoid Leukemia Cell Lines.
