About

Dr. Noyonika Kaul is working at present as Assistant Professor at Sharda University. Her domain area primarily revolves around microbiology, pathology, host-parasite health, phytopathology, microbiome diversity and bioinformatic analysis, haplotypic analysis, bio-geographical patterns of pathogens, virulence aggressiveness, DNA polymorphism mapping and phylogenetic kinships involving the study of micro-organisms and their interactions with the environment with a focus on improving practices and technologies. She is Ph.D. (Microbiology)  from Amity Institute of Microbial Technology. She also holds an M.B.A. from D.Y. Patil University, Pune. She obtained her M.Sc. and B.Sc.  (Microbiology)  from School of Biosciences, Lovely Professional University. She has over 400 annotations of bacterial and fungal strains accredited to her in the GenBank database. She has been actively involved in projects on elucidating the population structure, haplotype distribution, assessment of the disease status, and genetic diversity analysis and virulence level of different putative subspecies of Fusarium fungus inferring phylogenetic lineages of Indian origin.
