25th December 2014, the day Jesus born. Celebrating Christmas by giving gifts, exchanging wishes or reviving memory of God’s Son is not the sole purpose. The purpose is to comprehend and spread the message of forgiveness that Jesus communicated to entire human race throughout his life.

The followers of Jesus and those also who are not followers of Jesus acknowledge the festivity of Christmas. But what ever sect you belong, celebrating the B’day of Jesus has become a part of everybody’s culture. Whether you visit church, pray at chapel or light a candle in front of Mother Mary you are remembering the life and teachings of Jesus Christ.

Jesus was born to teach the human kind the essence of forgiveness. Without forgiving the realization of God is not possible. It’s a human nature to carry grievances, grudges and painful memories. We live in a social world , where we interact and deal with the various kind of people . In these relationships we develop enmity, jealousy, empathy towards others.

In today’s contemporary world how many celebrate the teachings of Christ on Christmas. One should adapt the teachings and sayings of God in his/ her personal life. None tries to forgive the enemy or instances or circumstances. We carry the grudges which convert in violent psychology. Every time a pain full memory is remembered it reignites the attached painful sentiments.

In medieval times church army ruled the governance Europe. But in doing so they somewhere lost the essence of teachings of Christ. The malpractices, the conspiracy, the revenge all reached to the heights in 20th century . The downfall of church acted as a catalyst for World War II . It took place because Germans could not forget injustice of World War I. The loss and attack on civilization is paying the price till date.

Merry Christmas

But Jesus teachings were to be non-violent and compassionate. Christmas is about remembering Christ and to Follow his teachings which he preached during his life time. So on this Christmas we should introspect and forgive the instances and most importantly forgive ourselves.

At Sharda we celebrated the Jesus Birthday with the poor and deprived. Kartvya the NGO governed by the students body invited more than hundred children of poor families to celebrate Christmas. The children participated with confidence and esteem. They were told the story of Jesus by dramatization. This will develop the love and respect for Jesus among the young crowd. We show respect and we applaud the efforts of young BBA students who made the event successful.
