Some parents are and always will remain dubious about the extra-curricular activities; they undermine these activities and brand them as waste of time. Coercing a child to pursue just academics and hampering him/her to be a part of any extra-curricular activity can unknowingly cease opportunities that can raise their personal standards.

The apathy is, parents do not realize these activities come in handy with personality enhancing packages. These packages prepare us for uncertain but inevitable situations of life. For e.g., these activities help a child learn time management and prioritizing skills, which we all know is very important in today’s fervid lifestyle.
Extra-curricular allow students to get involved in diverse interests that help them explore their likes and dislikes. Long term commitments, is again an additional benefit that a child learns through these activities. When a child joins a club or any of the activity, he/she entirely commits himself/ herself to an activity for a period of time. This imbibes a sense of commitment in a child.
