“Great dreams of great dreamers are always transcended” – Dr. Abdul Kalam

Knowing your destiny is key to success and once you have known it one should focus on it single mindedly. That is what it differentiates well from great. India has produced singularly generous engineers of high quality. But Dr. Kalam Stands head and shoulder above his set of fellow intellectuals. His brilliance out showed that of his peers.

In India manifestation of genius is so rare? Where all those great brains of country, we hear off disappeared? We rarely hear of them again. And also people in general are intelligent barring their education background. Answer could be genius is a gift of God, to be utilized for the betterment of society. Genius is what we hear of today. Like Shankara Charya, Napoleon, Nicolai Tesla, Einstein, Steve Jobs and Warren Buffet have one thing in common, they dedicated their lives to the betterment of society. Very often Brilliant minds get entangled into “Maya”, the illusion of world. And thus loose that special gift.

Coming back to Dr. Kalam, his destiny was to serve the country he was born in. He realized and then dedicated his entire being to his country. We all know his story, his humble background, his absence of personal life, his tastes, his quest for knowledge, his ever present warmth, his Gandhian simplicity and his utter selflessness.

All the above mentioned virtues along with his brilliance made him a successful engineer, an excellent team leader and ultimately very popular President. He lived every day of his life to the fullest. And even the day his earthly life came to the end.

He is the source of inspiration to countless individuals who want there country to be better, stronger and taller nation. His life is a story of overcoming adversities through single minded focus on ones destiny.

He had vision for India and he lived it. His first vision was that of freedom. He quoted “It is the freedom that we must protect, nurture and build on. If we are not free no one will respect us”. His second vision was for India’s development. “We should see India as a developed nation. We lack self confidence to see our selves as a developed nation, self reliant and self assured” as said by Dr. Abdul Kalam. His third muse was that India must stand up to the world. “Only strength respects strength. We must be strong as military power but also economic power. I see 3 milestones in my career”

  1. He worked for 20 years in ISRO and launched first satellite vehicle SLV3
  2. DRDO and guided missile program
  3. ISRO and DRDO joint missile program.

May God give us vision, and determination to fulfill it Thank you Dr. Kalam for being so motivator. God bless your soul! If we are sincere and dedicated citizen of India we should follow the footsteps of Dr. Abdul Kalam. His visionary outlook and pragmatic approach makes him different from other people.
