Sharda University is a truly global university and this fact is highlighted from the increasing number of international students in various departments of the University. At Sharda, students from India and offshore countries interact with each other to imbibe values like tolerance and friendliness.

In the following video, Avijit Palit, a BBA student, at Sharda Business School in Sharda University, talks about his life in the campus and his role as the Interim President of International Students of Sharda University. Avijit hails from Chittagong in Bangladesh and has been frequently interacting with International students in his capacity as the President of the International Students of Sharda University.

Avijit who is fond of writing, loves penning poems and lyrics. His liking for Rabindra Nath Tagore’s writings comes from the fact that most of his schooling was done in Kolkata (erstwhile Calcutta). According to him, Sharda University is a cosmos of different cultures, personalities and unique learning opportunities. Students from different parts of the world like Afghanistan, Latvia, Nepal, Bhutan, Singapore, Ethiopia and various West–African countries are an integral part of Sharda University. Avijit has been a member of the International Student Forum at Sharda University, since 2011. From September to May, every year, the Forum organizes ‘May I Help You Campaign’ welcoming students from different nations. Later the induction of international students is followed by a Delhi Tour and a program dedicated to the ‘Reception of International Students.’ Further, Agra Tour and Sports Events are organized to help students relax and begin their journey in Sharda University. The sports events are usually organized during Dusshera or Diwali holidays.

It is these events, programs and celebrations that help Shardans bond with each other and create everlasting memories.
