Jabong Turf War Season II marked a grand opening on the 27th of January 2017. Bajaj Institute of Technology and Management (GLBITM) was the host for the second edition of the event. The University was filled with fun, frolic, and a profusion of the enthusiasm.

Young audience of around 10,000 students gathered on the day to cheer the teams from over 16 teams. The teams belong to the colleges put up in Delhi National Capital Region (NCR).

The game is synonymous to the T-20 format of cricket with a smaller pitch and goalpost. Also, the time duration is restrained making the game of smaller length. The ground is protected on all boundaries by a net so that it does not leave the playing area.

The gaming event was held on four stages, viz, knockouts, quarter finals, semi finals and finals. The first two stages were played on the day 1 and the other 2 on the Day 2.

Apart from the participating colleges, Team Jabong and Team Sportskeeda also featured in the game where they played a friendly match.

The game which was held for two days witnessed Sharda University as the final winner. The University was conferred with the Jabong Turf War Season II trophy along with a cash prize of INR 25,000. Tarun Negi from Sharda University was held the best scorer of the tournament with an overall goal score of 8. The best goalkeeper was picked up from the GNIOT college.

As per Anupam Vishwakarma, a participant from Sharda University, the event was very happening and full of fun. Basis his all round performance throughout the tournament, he was adjudged the Player of the tournament.

MTV VJ Sophie Choudry and other reality TV show artists like Martina Thariyan and Shreeradhe Khanduja graced the event with their presence.
