About

Dr. Rakesh Kumar Singh is Assistant Professor of Economics and International Business in the School of Business Studies (SBS) at Sharda University. Before joining Sharda University, he was associated with the National Institute of Public Finance and Policy (NIPFP), New Delhi, as a Consultant Economist and subsequently as Research Fellow (Economics) to the Fifteenth Finance Commission, Govt. of India. Earlier, he worked as an Urban Economist at the Institute of Social Sciences, New Delhi, and as a Research Associate at Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), New Delhi. He has taught Economics to Undergraduate students in University of Delhi, and has been associated with Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), University of Delhi as Visiting Faculty in the area of Economics.

He holds PhD & MPhil from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. While his core training is in the field of Economics, his Doctoral Research is multidisciplinary which focuses on governance of public goods and services interpreting and integrating Economics, Law, and Governance.
