Priya Rampal is an Assistant Professor at the Economics and International Business Department in the School of Business Studies at Sharda University. Previously she was a Post Doctoral Fellow at the M.S. Swaminathan Research Foundation, Chennai where she worked on a UKAid funded project called Leveraging Agriculture for Nutrition in South Asia (LANSA). She has submitted her PhD at the Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research, Mumbai. Her thesis focuses on the nutritional status of children, specifically, the importance of early childhood nutrition on later outcomes such as health, education and work participation. Priya has also worked on agriculture and livestock insurance at a research centre in Institute for Financial Management and Research, Chennai, involving qualitative and quantitative methods of analysis along with extensive field work. Her M.Phil thesis focused on changing food consumption patterns. She has participated in several national and international conferences. She was also visiting faculty at the Sarla Anil Modi School of Economics at Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai where she taught Gender Economics.
