I am an Assistant Professor with the School of Media, Film, and Entertainment (SMFE) at Sharda University.
I have accomplished my doctoral research (Ph.D.)titled ‘Understanding Women Journalists Experiences of Working in Hindi Print Journalism in Cities of Madhya Pradesh (2012-2017) from the School of Media and Cultural Studies, Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. I earned my M.Phil from the Centre for Jawaharlal Nehru Studies, JamiaMilliaIslamia, New Delhi. My dissertation was on ‘The Political Economy of News Construction in Print Media: a Case Study of Bhopal Gas Tragedy. My debut independent research paper on ‘Status of Women Journalist in Hindi Print Media in India (2011) was presented at General Conference of European Association of Development Research and Training Institutes (EADI) and Development Studies Institute (DSA) held in York, United Kingdom. I obtained M.A. in Mass Communication from MakhanlalChaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.
My research papers have been acknowledged by International Association of Media and Communication Research (IAMCR), International Communication Association (ICA) and more such academic forums of high repute related to my research areas. I have also worked with a Mumbai based NGO Point of View as a Project Coordinator for Internet Literacy Training Program for women-runweekly newspaper ‘KabharLahariya.
Before joining here at SMFE, I worked as an Assistant Professor with the Faculty of Journalism & Creative Studies (FJCS), JagranLakecity University, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.
