About

Dr. Moumita Mandal completed her Ph.D. and M.Phil in International Law from Jawaharlal Nehru University, LL.M in International Law from National University of Juridical Sciences and BA. LLB (Hons.) from University of Kalyani.

Dr.Mandal served as a post-doctoral and pre-doctoral Research Fellow during 2016-2020 under the Jawaharlal Nehru Chair. She has actively contributed to Jawaharlal Nehru Chair in research program as well as in the teaching of two MA courses (International Law of Peace and Legal Controls of International Conflicts). She has made scholarly contributions to some cutting-edge issues of global concern as well as international and national seminars.

Dr.Mandal was invited as a Judge of Bar Council of India Trust Inter-University Moot Court Competition and Inter-University National Moot Court Competition. She worked as a Rapporteur in the WB Commission for Women and Human Rights Studies Programme (JNU) on the occasion of ‘International Womens Day and ‘Human Rights Day respectively. Apart from it, she has drafted one project for the WB Commission for Women on Advocacy Program, District Level Seminar and Impact Study on Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act 2005: A Report and Recommendations (2013).
