Academic Achievements

• Mitali Sahu: A B.Tech Student of Automobile Engineering, working under the guidance of Prof. Bhaskar Bhattacharya in Material Research Laboratory, School of Engineering and Technology, has won 1st prize for her paper “Application of Solar Cells in Automotive Engineering” in the Event “Throttle”
  • 2nd Prize for her oral presentation “Band Gap Tailoring of Ternary Semiconductors for Photovoltaic Application” in “Troika”
  • 3rd Prize for her talk “Preparation of CdS Sensitizer for Third Generation Solar Cell Application” in the Event “Texhibit”  for her oral presentation organized by “Delhi Technical University”.
  • She has also received “BEST PAPER AWARD” for her contribution on “Band Gap Tailoring of Ternary Semiconductors for Photovoltaic Application” by IEEE Association.    
     
• Nitin Jadhav: A PhD scholar at School of Engineering and Technology, Sharda University has received CSIR-Senior Research Fellowship for the research proposal “Modification of Working Electrode for Dye Sensitized Solar Cell applications.”
  • He is pursuing his research under the supervision of Prof. Bhaskar Bhattacharya in Material Research Laboratory, Department of Physics, School of Engineering and Technology, Sharda University.   

Extra-Curricular Achievements

• Kartavya - A NGO started by a few B.Tech students at School of Engineering and Technology, Sharda University. The students take time out from their busy schedules and teach underprivileged children from the society. Most of these children come from slums in the neighborhood and their parents are mostly working as laborers at various construction sites in Greater Noida. The hard work of these students is showing result now … they are getting lots of support from people at university, the number of volunteers and donations is rising and the number of lives changed has crossed many milestones.
