Department of Physics, School of Basic Sciences and Research will be organizing a 2 days National Workshop on "Thin Film Deposition Technique" from 17th Feb. to 18th Feb. 2017.

Materials science is an interdisciplinary field involving the properties of matter and its applications to various areas of science and engineering. We are in materials age. The research particularly in functional materials has very broad scope and great potential applications. It is said that who controls materials, control technology. The present and future development of technologies very much depends on materials, especially thin films. This national workshop is aimed to map out the current and future functional upcoming thin film deposition techniques. This event is to enhance the fundamental concept of physical and chemical deposition techniques especially to young researchers working in the area of material science.
