An Analysis of Supreme Court’s Verdict on Right To Privacy by School of Law on 8th Sept 17

School of Law (SOL), Sharda University is organizing a symposium on 'An Analysis of Supreme Court’s Verdict on Right To Privacy' on 8th September 2017.The Right to privacy is one of the most important and integral right of every human being and now a nine-judge Supreme Court bench in case of Justice K.S. Puttuswamy v Union of India has declared privacy as a “Fundamental Right”. The decision tends to impact many things starting from Government’s Aadhar Card, Rights of gays, use of personal data of people by internet providers etc. The verdict may also put restrictions on various rights like the right to conversion, right to food preferences etc.
In order to have an effective understanding of Right to privacy and impact of this right after it being declared as ‘fundamental’, SOL, Sharda University is organizing a symposium. 
Speakers:
  • Hon'ble Justice P.S. Narayana, Former Judge AP High Court, Member, Mahadayi Water Dispute Tribunal, New Delhi shall be the Chief Guest. Advocate Prashant Kumar, Head, KPA Legal, New Delhi, shall be the Guest of Honour and Advocate Jetendra Singh, Advocate, Supreme Court of India will also be delivering his address on the topic.
