The Department of Biotechnology offers a wide range of research & training opportunities for undergraduate, postgraduate and even at Ph.D. level within the field of specific subject areas including Plant Tissue culture, Immunology, Biochemistry, Molecular Genetic, Cancer Biology, Microbiology, Environmental Science, etc.
The emphasis is on practical and research based learning, result oriented research and if required with the collaboration of other universities. All Training & Learning Programmes are mentored by enthusiastic academic and professional staffs of the department.
Recently, the Department organized a Hands-on-Workshop on Latest Techniques on Molecular Biology in association with Helix –Biogenesis, Delhi. The department organizes a Journal Club every weekend where faculty members and scholars deliver lectures on the various latest biotechnological advanced topics. The Department also works in collaboration with other universities.
