B.Sc. (Hons) is a three-year undergraduate program for XII passed students. Apart from Physics, students will also be able to learn Chemistry, Mathematics, Computers and English in this course.
- Sr. secondary (10+2) with 55% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Math, Biology or Biotechnology (as applicable).
- Proficiency in English communication.
Through Written Test followed by Personal Interaction.
After finishing B.Sc. (Hons) from Sharda University, students have plenty of opportunities. For example - students can apply for government jobs advertised through SSC, UPSC, State PSCs and other agencies. However, a popular option is to go for higher studies and secure admission in M.Sc. (Physics) program or in MBA, MCA, B.Ed. and other professional courses.
After completing B.Sc. (Hons) and M.Sc. in Physics, students can also go for the Scientist C openings available in different reputed institutions like ISRO, DRDO, BARC, CSIR and their associated labs who annually recruit a number of Physics degree holders. Students can also apply for M.Tech. and MS + Ph.D. programs of various IITs and IISc. Also, they will become eligible for appearing in JAM /JEST /GATE/ NET and go for Ph.D. programs from reputed national and international institutions and make research or teaching their career.
Graduate is employable for R & D or Academics etc.
It’s a three year UG program (six semesters) with 133 total credits. It has 31 different theory subjects and 16 labs.
50% marks are allotted for end term exam and 20% for mid term exam. Rest of the 30% are allotted for continuous assessment which includes class test, assignments and presentation.
