Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering is one of the premier departments of School of Engineering and Technology, Sharda University. In this era of globalization where the whole world is well knit and networked, Electronics and Communication Engineering is most sought after engineering branch among budding engineers. To cater to the needs of supplying best professionals in electronics and communication engineering at national and international level, Electronics and Communication Engineering Department, School of engineering and Technology, Sharda University offers B.Tech, M.Tech and PhD programmes. The department is equipped with excellent research facilities in VLSI Design, Microwave Engineering, High Speed Networking and Communication, Embedded Systems, Intelligent Systems, Parallel Bus Architecture and Designing High Performance Systems, Signal Processing, Biomedical Instrumentation and Power Engineering.
Increasing globalization and technological advancements have led to a greater demand for qualified engineers both outside and within the country. They are expected to have multi disciplinary knowledge and multi dimensional approach. In our department we have been continuously making efforts to provide value based quality education in multi disciplinary areas along with development of attitudes, skills and abilities to apply knowledge, in order to prepare our students to meet emerging challenges in the present era of rapidly changing business and economic environment.
In E&C department, there is an emphasis on overall personality development of our students. The students are encouraged to participate in all extra curricular and co-curricular activities in an environment of healthy competition. Students’ workshops and group discussions are being held regularly. In addition to technical expertise, these activities give the students opportunities to develop their managerial and organizational skills and above all inculcate in them a diehard attitude to be an achiever.
Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering has created a participative environment with the leading industries. We invite professionals from industries to give expert lectures to our students on cutting edge technologies and brief our students about the expectations of industries and corporate world. At our department we design our strategies to prepare our students accordingly so that our students become better employable. We have already started collaborative programs with ST Microelectronics, CADENCE, DST and DRDO.
For increasing the employability of our students we are in process of preparing short term course modules on cutting edge technologies in collaboration with reputed organizations. We have already initiated collaboration with CADENCE for value addition to our education.
