Grammy Award Winner Pt. Vishwa Mohan Bhatt in SU Campus on March 14
It’s a matter of pride for Sharda University to invite Pt. Vishwa Mohan Bhatt at SU Campus on 14th March, 2014.
All SU students and staff members are cordially invited to witness the melodious performance of the great Mohan Veena Maestro Padmasri Vishwamohan Bhatt.
To honor this cultural ambassador, a beautiful poem is written by one of our faculty member:
Music is the language of God. Some people sing to get connected to Lord
“Veena vadini humko var do”. Goddess Saraswati loves the veena .
And whoever plays the veena is blessed by her.
One person plays veena is to worship lord Saraswati.
The rhythms of meeting by the river, the song of nature singing the pulses of the forest
Where the jungle flowers dance and people sit and listen with their lonesome memories.
But we don’t forget to discuss “Shrinagr ras” the one emotion amongst the nine beautiful ras.
Entire world listens to him. Its like east meets west.
The fusion is always classic (al)
The music of India has evolved from the nature.
My nineteen string and four three drone strings is a hybrid of guitar and Saraswati’s instrument.
I’m his instrument
By God’s grace enthralls all
The river of the music flows
To merge with ocean of bliss
The clue is so clear
This is none other than Mohan Veena creator - Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt
